Have you ever thought about eating authentic gluten-free Italian food in Malaga—it seemed like an impossible dream?

It might have been before, but now the best gluten-free Italian restaurant in Malaga has designed for you a full menu of authentic gluten-free Italian food.

Trattoria Tutto Bene

We built our Trattoria Tutto Bene in Fuengirola to be a pleasant, welcoming space with a familiar, relaxed atmosphere (values of the authentic Italian trattoria), and for the past 10 years our only goal has been to provide the best service, first-class raw ingredients imported so that our customers can experience authentic Italian gastronomy, making our customers turn it into the go-to Italian restaurant in Fuengirola and throughout the whole province.

Of course, we have dishes that are our stars on the menu and for which we’re known all along the Costa del Sol, such as pasta in cheese with authentic Parmigiano Reggiano (Parmesan cheese), our famous and authentic carbonara recipe served in a pan, the Tagliere della casa, and of course the Pinsa Romana along with our famous aperitifs made with the best selection of Martini or with the well-known Aperol Spritz.

Authentic gluten-free Italian food

But we couldn’t be happy if we couldn’t make all our customers happy, so some time ago it was decided to add gluten-free products and recipes so that everyone could enjoy the experience of "la Vera Cucina Italiana".

Our gluten-free dishes were very well received by our customers; it was so incredible that we decided to create a menu featuring only authentic gluten-free Italian dishes.

You heard right: there’s an entire menu for you with only gluten-free Italian dishes. You don’t have to dig through extremely long lists of dishes to find out what you can or can’t eat.

This only happens at the best trattoria in Malaga and Fuengirola.

The essence of gluten-free Italian cuisine

Our Chef Federico Ramazzotto, a true master of traditional cooking, focused on creating delicious gluten-free traditional Italian recipes without giving up even a bit of their flavor or authenticity.

With the challenging mission of continuing to use first-quality raw ingredients with an Italian origin. With no kind of additives or preservatives, it has managed to select the best products and suppliers that guarantee the freshness, flavor, and authenticity of each of our dishes worthy of typical Italian gastronomy.

At Tutto Bene we don’t use just any gluten-free recipe. We use authentic Italian recipes passed down from generation to generation.

That’s why we’re recognized as the best trattoria in Fuengirola and all of the province of Málaga.

We’ve designed a menu that includes all of the typical dishes from our land that can be made without gluten.

Pastas, risottos, antipasti, pinsas, and sweets complete a menu of an authentic gluten-free Italian restaurant.

We should highlight our gluten-free pasta. It’s fresh pasta, cut at the bronze. It’s made with corn, potato, legume flour, and egg. It’s not dry pasta.

Speaking of pasta, you can’t miss trying gluten-free spaghetti alla carbonara; they’re prepared with the traditional carbonara sauce recipe.

This consists of Spaguetto alla Chitarra with egg yolk sauce, Guanciale, authentic Pecorino Romano cheese, and black pepper.

Another special section would be for our pinsas. If we’re not mistaken about the spelling, we don’t want to say gluten-free pizzas, because we always opt for the authentic Pinsa Romana—in this case, gluten-free pinsa—whose magnificent dough is made with the best quinoa and rice flours and extra virgin olive oil, allowing you to add the best ingredients to enjoy authentic pinsa romana.

One of our menu favorites is the "pinsa Contadina sin gluten"—with the authentic mozzarella di Bufala, 30-month cured Parmigiano, arugula, fresh tomato, and Prosciutto di Parma—so that in your mouth an authentic "gastronomic orgasm" happens.

You can choose the type of mozzarella for your gluten-free pizzas. It can be lactose-free mozzarella, vegan, or flor di latte.

And lastly, a great dining experience can’t end without dessert: how about an artisan gelato made with authentic pistachio, a classic tiramisu, or a delicious hot Italian chocolate cake...

Tips for eating at an Italian restaurant with a gluten-free diet

We understand that our trattoria in Fuengirola isn’t near everyone. That’s why we leave you with important tips so you can eat your gluten-free dishes without any trouble.

Ask about the ingredients

The most important thing is to make sure that the food you order is made without flour or products derived from wheat.

You’ll also want to check that the ingredients used are certified gluten-free.

To do that, ask the waiter or restaurant staff so they can give you more information about any dish you order.

Tell the waiter

Telling the waiter about your dietary needs, intolerances, or allergies will help them advise you on the dishes you can eat safely and avoid cross-contamination.

It’s better to prevent than to cure. You should always make sure that the food is cooked in an area separate from foods containing gluten.

This ensures that no cross-contamination occurs.

Try new dishes

Following a gluten-free diet doesn’t mean missing out on all the incredible flavors of Italian food, like fresh antipasti, salads, and primi piatti made with vegetables.

Don’t forget about the desserts either; there are often delicious options, like tiramisu, which contains no wheat or flour.

If you follow these tips and keep an open dialogue with the restaurant staff, you’ll be able to enjoy all the delights without giving up your gluten-free diet.
