The name «Punta 470» pays tribute to the altitude of the vineyards, located 470 meters above sea level in the hills of Montecchia di Crosara. This privileged terroir, with its calcareous and deep soil, gives the wine freshness and minerality that set it apart. The grapes are harvested by hand in the second half of September, ensuring only the best clusters are selected.
After harvest, the grapes undergo a drying process in a fruttaio for 4 to 5 months, concentrating their sugars and phenolic compounds. Afterwards, they are pressed and fermented, and the resulting must is aged in oak barrels for 25 to 30 months, developing remarkable complexity and elegance.
In the glass, «Punta 470» presents an intense garnet red color, a prelude to its aromatic richness. On the nose, it offers a symphony of aromas of red fruits such as blackberry, redcurrant, and cherry, interwoven with subtle spiced notes derived from its aging in wood. On the palate, it is a complex, well-balanced wine with a robust body, with hints of raisins that add depth and warmth to the finish.
This wine is ideal to pair with grilled meats, game dishes, stews, and aged cheeses. It is recommended to serve it at a temperature of 17°C to fully appreciate its organoleptic qualities. With an alcohol content of approximately 15%, «Punta 470» is a sublime choice for special occasions, moments of meditation, or to share with friends at the end of a meal.
