Información sobre este vino:

Monticol Pinot Nero Riserva is a red wine from the prestigious Terlan winery, located in the Alto Adige region of Italy. This wine embodies the essence of the Alto Adige DOC Denominazione di Origine Controllata, an area recognized for its ideal conditions for cultivating the Pinot Nero grape. The grapes used in its production come from vineyards situated between 450 and 600 meters above sea level, where cool air currents and optimal sun exposure help achieve perfect ripening of the fruit.

After manual harvesting and a rigorous selection of the clusters, the grapes are destemmed and gently pressed. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation that softens the wine’s natural acidity. The wine then matures for 12 months, with 30% in large wooden barrels and 70% in oak barrels, one third of which are new. This aging process adds complexity and elegance to the final product.

In the glass, Monticol Pinot Nero Riserva shows a ruby red color with garnet reflections, indicating its depth and ripeness. On the nose, it offers a complex aromatic bouquet, with notes of red fruits such as raspberries, strawberries, and cherries, accompanied by subtle spicy hints of tobacco and flint stone, which bring out a characteristic mineral dimension of the terroir. On the palate, it is balanced and elegant, with a well-defined structure and fine tannins that provide a velvety feel. Its fresh acidity and persistent finish invite you to keep tasting.

This wine is ideal to pair with dishes of red meat, game, roasts, and aged cheeses. It is recommended to serve it between 16 and 18 degrees Celsius to fully appreciate its organoleptic qualities. With an alcohol content of 14% vol., Monticol Pinot Nero Riserva offers a refined and enjoyable sensory experience, reflecting Terlan’s expertise in crafting high-quality wines.
