Información sobre este vino:

Zuzù is a white sparkling wine from the Franchina e Giarone winery, a young winery located in Formigine, in the province of Modena, Italy. Founded by winemaker Luca Pizzetti in 2020, the winery focuses on the handcrafted production of wines that reflect the region’s winemaking tradition in Emilia-Romagna. The name «Zuzù» is inspired by the two-step sugar addition process: first frozen must and then grape sugar, to trigger bottle re-fermentation, following the ancestral method.

This wine is made using a combination of native grape varieties: Trebbiano di Spagna and Trebbiano Modenese. Spontaneous alcoholic fermentation is carried out with indigenous yeasts in fiberglass tanks, and bottle re-fermentation follows the ancestral method. The result is a wine with 13% alcohol, with no added sulfites or only minimal amounts, offering an authentic, natural experience.

In the glass, Zuzù shows a straw-yellow color with greenish highlights and a delicate effervescence. On the nose, you can detect fresh aromas of white-fleshed fruit and white flowers such as jasmine, with a slight citrus note in the finish. On the palate, it is smooth, with a pleasant saline note that invites you to keep drinking. It is an ideal wine to pair with aperitifs, first courses with vegetable sauces, cured meats, and savory pies.

The Franchina e Giarone winery is dedicated to producing natural wines, made in a handcrafted way and with respect for the surrounding ecosystem. With a philosophy that values authenticity and tradition, its wines aim to offer a genuine experience that is representative of the Emilia-Romagna terroir.
