Información sobre este vino:

Barbaresco Riserva Quindicianni «Cascina Baricchi» is a red wine from the Barbaresco region, in Piedmont, Italy, produced by the winery Cascina Baricchi. This wine is distinguished by its extended aging, with a 15-year maturation, which gives it exceptional complexity and depth.

The winery Cascina Baricchi, located in the municipality of Neviglie, near Barbaresco, was acquired by Giovanni Simonetta in 1979. Since then, it has focused on producing high-quality wines, with Barbaresco Riserva Quindicianni being one of its finest examples. This wine is made from carefully selected Nebbiolo grapes from vineyards in Neive, grown on calcareous-marl soils that are ideal for this variety.

Vinification follows traditional methods, with controlled fermentation in stainless-steel tanks and maceration of approximately ten days. Subsequently, 80% of the wine is aged in Hungarian oak tonneaux of 500 liters, while the rest matures in old French Allier barrels, all over 36 months. After one year of bottle refinement, the wine is released to the market, offering a unique sensory experience.

In the glass, Barbaresco Riserva Quindicianni shows a bright ruby red color with orange hints. On the nose, it stands out for a balance between floral, fruity, and spiced aromas, with notes of jam, spices, and leather that develop over time. On the palate, it reflects the character of the Langhe territory, delivering sensations of warmth, rusticity, and elegance that only wines from this area can convey. This wine offers excellent aging potential, improving with the years.

It is an ideal companion for braised red meats, such as Barbaresco-style braised beef brisket, or for feathered game, such as roasted pheasants, quail, and partridges. It is recommended to serve it in wide glasses to fully appreciate its organoleptic qualities.
