Nebbiolo Colline Novaresi «Le Piane» is a red wine from the Le Piane winery, a true gem located in the Alto Piemonte region of Italy. This wine is made with Nebbiolo grapes from the hills of Novara, an area recognized for its winemaking vocation, which gives the wine exceptional fragrance and freshness. Vinification is carried out with a six-day maceration, followed by aging for approximately nine months in stainless-steel containers, which lends the wine a smoothness in its tannins and a perfect balance—ideal for pairing with meals full of character.
This wine has an aging potential of 2 to 3 years and an alcohol content of 13.00–13.50% vol. Annual production is approximately 30,000 bottles, reflecting the dedication and care that go into making it. The first harvest was in 2018, marking the start of a winemaking tradition that aims to highlight the unique characteristics of Nebbiolo in this region.
The Le Piane winery, founded by Christoph Künzli and winemaker Alexander Trolf, has established itself as a benchmark for producing quality wines in Alto Piemonte. After Alexander’s sad passing, Christoph continued with the vision of creating wines that authentically represent the essence of the region, combining tradition and modernity in every bottle.
