Taurasi «Feudi di San Gregorio» is a red wine from the Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita (DOCG) Taurasi, produced by the prestigious Italian winery Feudi di San Gregorio. This wine is made with grapes from the Aglianico variety, hand-selected to ensure superior quality. After harvesting, the grapes are destemmed and partially crushed, with a high proportion of whole berries, and fermented at a controlled temperature in stainless-steel tanks for approximately three weeks. Afterwards, the wine matures for 18 months in medium-toasted French oak barrels, which gives it exceptional complexity and elegance. After aging in barrel, the wine is further refined in bottle for at least nine months before being released to the market.
In the glass, Taurasi «Feudi di San Gregorio» shows a bright ruby-red color with garnet reflections, reflecting its youth and vitality. On the nose, it offers a medium intensity with aromas of ripe red fruits, such as tart cherry and cherry, accompanied by subtle spicy notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, and star anise, which add depth and complexity.
